Please note the parking arrangements for the rehearsal and concert on April 4, 2020, at St Andrew’s Garrison Church Aldershot. Please read these instructions in conjunction with the associated map which is available here.
The church is one of 2 churches on Queens Avenue to the north of Aldershot. St Andrew’s is to the north of the Church of St Michael & St George, which has the splendid steeple and is nearer the cross-roads.
There is limited parking near the churches and to make the best use of the parking you are requested to follow the advice below.
- Car park to the north of the canal bridge. Choir members and audience are requested to park in this large car park. It is suggested that you park here for the rehearsal so you are familiar with the parking arrangements for the evening. It is a few minutes walk from the car park to the church.
- Parking at St Andrew’s is very limited and will be for special guests and disabled visitors only.
- Parking by the Church of St Michael & St George (with the steeple and nearer the cross-roads). This car park is for members of our audience and those members of the choir with restricted mobility. The entrance is from Queens Avenue by the black sign. It is a very short walk to St Andrew’s.
If you approach from Farnborough along the A325 Farnborough Road, leave the Farnbro’ Road at the slip road down to Alison’s Road and turn left at the traffic lights. The church parking (3) is immediately on your right. Cross over the canal bridge and the car park (1) is on the right at the lights and right again.
If you approach from North Camp along Queens Avenue, the polo fields are on your right and the two stadia are on your left. The car park (1) is left at the traffic lights and immediately right.
The churches are over the canal bridge and on your left. The first entrance is to St Andrews (2) is for disabled parking only. The church car park (3) entrance is next on your left before the next traffic lights.
If you approach via Aldershot town on the A323, go to Hospital Hill, past the Aldershot Centre for Health and down Queens Avenue to the traffic lights. The churches are on the right after the lights.
If you approach from Farnham via the A325 Farnborough Road, exit left sign-posted for Aldershot Military Town, onto Alison’s Road. Turn left at the traffic lights onto Queens Avenue. The church parking (3) is immediately on your right. Cross over the canal bridge and the car park (1) is on the right at the lights and right again.
