Autumn 2026 Concert Plans

Here are the arrangements for both concerts.  I believe it is all correct, but could be subject to change.

Saturday October 10, St Peter’s Church, Frimley

Set up Staging 12:00
Help needed to set up the staging

Rehearsal – 13:30 – 16:00
Collect your name badge on entry and return it at the end of the afternoon
Ladies who need a flower, sign for one and return it at the end of the evening.

13.30pm – Church
All choir members to arrive (we will need extra time to arrange seating of both choirs.)

16:00 – After rehearsal
Most members go home to eat and change, just helpers and committee stay to organise tea and to socialise with the visitors.

Parking
Please find somewhere other than the St Peter’s car park to leave your car in the evening. (Graveyard or side streets). We have been discouraging visitors with mobility issues from attending our concerts and we really don’t want that.

18.45pm – Main Hall
Warm up in the main hall (rather than the meeting room, but enter from the back as usual)

19:00 – Concert

After the concert
When we have cleared and tidied the church, it would be lovely if as many people as possible could meet for a drink and celebration in the Crabtree on the Frimley Road.

Photograper
We urgently need someone to formally take photos of the choirs.  Please, any volunteers from your attendees?

Return of Music and Folders
If you are singing in both concerts, you may keep your music in the Choir Folder and return both to a member of the committee on the coach on the way back from Kemsing.  Otherwise, please return your folder and music at the end of Saturday’s concert.

Concert Dress:

  • Men: black jacket and trousers, white shirt, SHS bow tie if you have one, otherwise black
  • Ladies: all black dress or tops and skirt or trousers plus SHS flower

Saturday October 17 –  St Edith’s Hall, Kemsing, TN16 6NA

  • Coach Departs – 12:30
Our coach leaves from St Peter’s at 12:30 and you may leave your cars in the church car park.  Please be early so we can leave on time.  (And make sure you have paid your contribution towards the cost of the coach.)
  • I will redistribute name badges and collect them again at the end of the afternoon.
  • Kemsing are providing us with refreshments in between rehearsal and concert.  No-one has told me of any particularly dietary needs.
  • You are advised to bring a water bottle.
  • There will also be somewhere we can change or you may prefer to come in your concert dress. Concert Dress is exactly the same as above.  I will bring Flowers for the ladies and we will have a Folder for the one person not singing in Frimley.
  • Our coach is booked to leave at approximately 21:15 and should be back at Frimley by about 10.30pm.

Rehearsals

  • Please do your very best to attend both rehearsals next week, Monday 5th and Wednesday 7th, both at St Peter’s.
  • There is no rehearsal on October 19.
  • We start rehearsing for Christmas on Monday October 26.  Attendance at rehearsals is important as we have a lot to learn again.
